Does transmission tuning damage the gearbox?
No. At Forged ECU, we optimize within the safe parameters set by the manufacturer without exceeding the mechanical limits of the transmission.
Should it be done together with chip tuning?
Transmission tuning is recommended to properly transfer the increased engine power to the gearbox after chip tuning. Without torque limiter adjustment, the transmission may apply torque reduction.
